Cutting your heating bill without giving up comfort, even in the dead of winter: that's exactly what a hybrid system delivers. We've just installed a complete Buderus solution that pairs a heat pump with a gas condensing boiler. Here's how it works and why more and more homeowners are choosing it.
The context
The customer wanted to modernise their heating system to lower energy consumption, while keeping the assurance of powerful heating during cold spells. Rather than betting everything on a single technology, we opted for a hybrid installation: the best of both worlds.
The installed solution
- Buderus WLW176i air-to-water heat pump — a monobloc outdoor unit that is exceptionally quiet and heats with high efficiency.
- Logano plus KB192i.2 gas condensing boiler — far more than a standard boiler: its wide modulation range always delivers exactly the right amount of backup heat, in perfect harmony with the heat pump.
- HYC25 hydraulic module, controlled by the HM200.2 regulation (integrated into the boiler) — it links and intelligently coordinates both heat sources.
- Logalux SH290 tank — for domestic hot water comfort.
How does it work?
The heat pump handles heating for most of the year, where it is most efficient. When temperatures drop sharply, the condensing boiler automatically takes over, with no action on your part. The control continuously favours the most economical source. The result: continuous, optimised heating with no drop in comfort.
The benefits for you
- ✅ Sharply reduced energy consumption thanks to the heat pump.
- ✅ Comfort guaranteed all year round, even during cold snaps.
- ✅ Future-proof solution, ready for the energy transition.
- ✅ Up to €4,000 in subsidies depending on your region and income — we guide you through the process.
- ✅ The reliability of a gas backup, with no surprises.
